8. Rallye Legend San Marino 2010 na vlastní oči. Opět paráda.

8. Rallye Legend San Marino 2010 je minulostí. Opět se na ní sjelo mnoho desítek  krasavců, které závodily v minulosti a opět zde byly k vidění skupiny B, které byly zakázány a které   nejsou v akci nikde jinde k vidění. I když jezdily před startovním polem, aby se FIA zase až tak moc nerozčilovala.......

Rozhodně to ale bylo  úžasné. Škoda jen, že cesta na jih Evropy do místa konání akce trvá více než deset hodin a není  to tedy  až taková sranda. A ještě větší škoda, že harmonogram  akce je takový nějaký sice tradiční, ale ne zcela ideální. Letos poprvé  patřilo páteční  ráno shakedownu, který se jel na  části jedné z loňských pátečních erzet, což byla  první možnost vidět  vozy  v akci, i když zdaleka ne všichni účastníci zde své vozy představili.

V pátek večer pak následoval start a závodilo se až do pozdní noci, kdy už byla docela slušná zima. I když jinak akci přálo počasí a na jihu  bylo stáíle ještě  příjemně a  dalo se  celkem v pohodě  spát i  ve stanech. Na rozdíl od loňska to pak proběhlo i  bez průtrže mračen.... Druhá  etapa pak startovala tradičně v sobotu odpoledne a končila večer. Škoda jen, že za cílovou rampou byly zábrany umístěny tak, aby se nedalo  předvádět  tradiční kolečka :-(((

Na ta ale  nakonec  došlo až zhruba v půlce startovního pole, kdy byl prostor upraven a několika  krásných   koleček se fanoušci, mezi kterými bylo opět i obrovské množství  našinců,  dočkali. Akce se jistě vydařila a na jaře by se opět měla  jet ( snad) Tuscan rallye s podobnou nabídkou závodních krasavců, která se jezdí o řádově stovku km dále.

THE WORLD CHAMPION DIDIER AURIOL (TOYOTA CELICA ST 205 GRIFONE) WINS A MEMORABLE RALLYLEGEND EDITION, WHILE HIS FELLOW FRANCOIS DELECOUR (PEUGEOT 206 WRC RB MOTORSPORT) EXCELLED AT WRC TROPHY. GREAT ENTERTAINMENT WITH LEGEND STARS, ESPECIALLY THE CHARMING B GROUP. LANCIA ECV1 WORLD DEBUT WITH MIKI BIASION. MORE THAN 50,000 SPECTATORS REACHED SAN MARINO FOR THE GREAT SPORT, AGONISM AND RALLY CULTURE EVENT.

San Marino Republic. Didier Auriol, 1994 Rally World Champion, and Thierry Bargiou on a Toyota Celica St 205 dated 1994 from Grifone Team won the 8th Rallylegend edition. The event gathered the most beautiful rally car of history from the 7th to the 9th of October in San Marino. The driver started the race ill but grew his competitive sprint during the stages beating competitors in the final phase of the race.
Second on the podium Simone Romagna from Vicenza with Addondi, on a 1990 Lancia Delta, followed by Manrico Falleri from Tuscany and his expert co-driver Sauro Farnocchia on a Lancia Delta 16V.
Final rush also for Rallylegend 4th place with Marco De Marco from Puglia and Potera by his side on a 1993 Ford Escort Cosworth who won for only 3 tenths of a second over Roberto Di Giuseppe from Teramo and his Lancia Delta Hf.
Important dropping out from Rallylegend race: the four time rally world champion Juha Kankkunen (Toyota Celica St 185) who started the race weakened by a virus closed stage 1 at first place but couldn’t start the second part of the race.
The first special stage of phase 2, instead, saw the champion from Uruguay Gustavo Trelles out of race because of a blocked wheel of his Porsche 911 RSR 3.0 after a jump.
Dropping out also of Denis Colombini, after valuable performance on his Vw Golf Gti, and his brother Marcello out of the road in the final phase with Lancia Delta Hf. Best San Marino team to the evergreen couple Stefano Rosati and Sergio Toccaceli on Talbot Lotus.
Two spectators lightly hurt their legs and were promptly aided by ambulances on the spot because of an accident occurred to competitor nr. 75 Sergio Biancolli (Ford Escort Rs) during pilots transfer, after stage nr. 5 suspension caused by Graziano Rossi’s
Turnoff with no consequences for the team.
FRANCOIS DELECOUR (PEUGEOT 206WRC) WINS WRC TROPHY.
The great driver Francois Delecour, with Savignoni as co-driver on a Peugeot 206 Wrc by Rb Motorsport team, leaded the Wrc Trophy and, of course, the time charts.
Delecour found a tough competitor in Fabrizio Tabaton, Grifone team patron, on a Peugeot 206 Wrc, too with Maurizio Imerito as co-driver. Tabaton managed in the first phase of the race to limit Delecour’s pace, who, though, already in special stage 1 of phase two took a margin that Tabaton hasn’t been able to regain.
On podium third place everybody waited Luca Pedersoli, with Dino Maggioni as co-driver, Magneti Marelli After Market Chairman, but the clutch breaking of last stage put them out of podium. Swiss Paolo Sulmoni and Bernasconi gained third place on a Subaru Impreza Wrc.
On starting and arrival stage Rallylegend gave memory to two rally friends recently passed away: Peppino Zonca, Tam-Auto “soul” and long experienced car fixer Claudio Caselli, who in 1992 as private driver won the Isola d’Elba Rally with a Lancia Delta. Two legends at Rallylegend.



WONDERFUL “LEGEND STARS” SHOW
Walter Rohrl, Miki Biasion, Sandro Munari have been the protagonists of “Legend Stars”, together with Paolo Valli, who left for a moment the role of Rallylegend organizer to drive.
Michael Berger, then, made a great show. All spectators really enjoyed Rallylegend “queens”, literally going crazy for Audi Sport Quattro, Delta S4, Lancia Stratos and 037, Ford Rs 200, Peugeot 205 T16, Porsche 911 and other rally beauties.
Great interest for “future” cars like VW Scirocco R bio, the race eco coupè in the role of pacemaker driven by a motor sport myth like Jacky Ickx and Emanuele Sanfront as codriver.
LANCIA ECV1 FIRST STEPS: PREVIEW AT RALLYLEGEND
Miki Biasion started it up on Friday, at the end of the press conference after taking off the sheet with Mr Lombardi and Beppe Volta, director of Lancia Ecv1 preview event. The car, set in the centre of the Arena, was assaulted by hundreds of media operator from all over the world.
Everybody was so willing to see the “Lancia that never came into life”, a paper project from 1986 and wonderful reality now.
On Saturday Miki Biasion drove it for about ten laps of “The Legend” show, among enthusiastic spectators and rally operators.
More parades in the afternoon of Lancia Delta S4 and Lancia 037 models, of which Ecv1 was meant to represent continuity.
“It’s been a wonderful sensation. – Miki Biasion commented – Ecv1 arrived right before Rallylegend, the perferct venue for its debut , and immediately showed that it’s been realized by experts….”After a brief tune-up, Ecv1 “relaxed” lap by lap showing a big part of its potentiality.”
A moved Beppe Volta, in charge of technical supervision of Ecv1 debut, together with Claudio Lombardi, maintained: “It’s been the realization of a dream so long dreamt about”.
JUHA KANNKKUNEN PRESENTED “MY ROAD” AND MIKI BIASION PREVIEWED HIS NEXT BOOK.
Rivals in the past, friends today. Here at Rallylegend together presenting their last editorial adventures. Kankkunen presented the Italian edition of “My road-la mia strada”, while Biasion gave a preview of his next release “Miki Biasion, inedited story of a great champion” with the preface written by “KKK”. Curious enough, the books present different versions of common episodes.
RECORD NUMBER OF SPECTATORS FROM ALL OVER EUROPE
About fifty thousand people, spectators and fans from all over Europe, took part at this year edition Rallylegend, today the event calling the greatest number of people to San Marino Republic, with important economic consequences for the State.
“Great numbers –Vito Piarulli and Paolo Valli, Rallylegend’s “inventors” – for a pacific public invasion willing to spend three days of sport passion among champions and dream cars”.
Rallylegend calls more and more international media: 400 accredited media operators, coming even from Japan.
