BIG SHOW AND GREAT FUN GIVEN BY THE ENTRY LIST OF THE 1st TUSCAN REWIND, THE RALLY FOR HISTORIC CARS THAT WILL TAKE PLACE FROM NEXT 28th-30th MAY ON THE MYTHICAL SPECIAL STAGES ON GRAVEL AROUND MONTALCINO, BUONCONVENTO AND SAN GIOVANNI D’ASSO. MARKKU ALEN (TOYOTA), ALESSANDRO NANNINI, MIKI BIASION (DELTA INTEGRALE) AND TONINO TOGNANA WILL BE AMONG FORERUNNERS. ANDREA AGHINI, “PUCCI” GROSSI, FEDERICO ORMEZZANO, GIANNI DEL ZOPPO, BRUNO BENTIVOGLI WILL RALLY, WHEREAS AMONG THE “LEGEND STARS” THERE WILL BE ALSO MANRICO FALLERI, PHILIPPE OLCZYK, PAOLO VALLI, BEPPE VOLTA AND PIERO GOBBI.

Montalcino (Siena). It is a prestigious entry list, the one gathering many champions and crews who did not want to miss the appointment with the 1st Tuscan Rewind, with the willingness to bring back many cars which literally did the history of rallies on the gravel special stages that became legendary. As those around Montalcino, heart of the event, Buonconvento and San Giovanni d’Asso where the world rally championship of the golden age wrote unforgettable pages.
Vito Piarulli, organiser and soul of the 1st Tuscan Rewind, found full harmony with Montalcino Motorsport and Fams – Automobile Federation of San Marino, with the support of the Municipalities of Montalcino, operational heart of the event, Buonconvento and San Giovanni d’Asso, of the Tuscany Region and of the Siena Province.
Fabulous gravel special stages, a magical natural environment as the heart of Tuscany, a historically rich area and full of excellencies which will be the container of Tuscan Rewind, together with show, competitiveness and performance that will be the duty of the drivers. A classy touch will be given by Castello Banfi, the elegant and impressive location where special leisure and racing moments will happen.
HIGH RANK CHAMPIONS WILL BE THE SOUL OF TUSCAN REWIND.
Four will be the prestigious forerunners of the 1st Tuscan Rewind. Markku Alen (Toyota Celica St 185), Alessandro Nannini, former Formula 1 driver rally enthusiast and Miki Biasion, the two-times world rally champion and ambassador of the “Tuscan” event, with two Delta Integrali, and with Tonino Tognana as fourth of the “appetizers”.
Among the historic cars and expired homologation cars part of the race prestigious names of the past and the present are recognizable: Andrea Aghini, with Granai, “Pucci” Grossi, with Alessandro Pavesi, Gianni Del Zoppo with his son Alessandro, on the Lancia Delta Integrali, Federico Ormezzano with Betty Tognana, on board of the Talbot Lotus, Bruno Bentivogli, with the Alfetta Gtv6, the Galleni brothers with the Opel Ascona 400, Paolo Ciuffi on the Subaru Impreza Wrx. And more: Enrico Guggiari with Chantal Galli, on a Fiat 131 Abarth, the driver from San Marino Stefano Rosati, on his Talbot Lotus, and a group of foreign drivers coming from Spain, Austria and Switzerland.
Many important protagonists also among the “Legend Stars”, the category made all of “pure show”.
As forerunner there will be the acrobatic Manrico Falleri (Ford Sierra Cosworth), Nicolò Fedolfi (Lancia Delta), Federico Buratti, with a Lancia Delta S4 and the Belgian Olczyk with a Peugeot 205 T16.
After them, the “bigs” will performance, among them Paolo Valli (Fiat 131 Abarth), the rally “preps” Beppe Volta (Lancia 037) and Piero Gobbi (Lancia Stratos), Calzolari (Ford Escort Rs). To be underlined also the presence of Maurizio Bianchini, important driver both in rallies and in uphills, beyond being Rai and Canale 3 journalist (he iso ne of the “historic” commentators of the “Palio di Siena”).
THE PROGRAMME OF THE EVENT
The 1st Tuscan Rewind will start entering its thrill on Friday 28th May with the shakedown, administrative checks and scrutineerings for cars and crews, the news of the “autograph’s session” at the Castello Banfi, with the exhibition of the top drivers cars, then the posting of the starting order at the Conference Centre in Montalcino, the rally headquarter.
The day after the awaited start of the 1st Tuscan Rewind, with a route that, in the area among Montalcino, Buonconvento and San Giovanni d’Asso, will discover some of the special stages where, during the 1980s and 1990s, unforgettable pages were written in the history of rallies of the World Championship. And where the wheels of great cars and some great champions will be running again, both protagonists of that incredible history.
On Saturday 29th May from 10.00 in Piazza del Popolo in Montalcino, Leg 1 of Tuscan Rewind will start, it envisages three special stages to be repeated twice (for a total of 45 km) with arrival in Montalcino at 18.00.
On Sunday 30th May Leg 2 will start at 10.00, including two special stages to be repeated twice (30 km total), regrouping in Torrenieri and final arrival with prize-giving ceremony at 15.20.

COLLATERAL INITIATIVES: BELNERO, ROAD MEETING, WIN RALLYLEGEND, GALA DINNER, “DELTA PARTS” CONFERENCE.
Meaningful sign of the collaboration Banfi-Tuscan Rewind is the limited edition production of the bottles of the precious Belnero wine year 2005, with personalised label, dedicated to Tuscan Rewind, and that will be available both through the website www.tuscanrewind.com and during the event.
Another initiative is the “1st Tuscan Rewind Road Meeting”, a gathering of road cars built until 1996 with particular historic and sports interest, of which at least one rally version has been manufactured. Among all those who will send an SMS, a lucky one will be drawn and he/she will win complete hospitality during the 8th Rallylegend, a pass for accessing the Rally Village and a helicopter flight on one of the special stages.
